Following the successful implementation of the Grinding Expert System in Ball Mill No. 7 and the remarkable results achieved, this high-tech solution was successfully expanded to Ball Mill No. 4 in January in 2023, marking the stronger second step of Dashan Plant in the field of intelligent grinding.
Ball mill No. 4, as a "new star" which has just completed renewal and reconstruction in 2023, has attracted much attention for its intelligent upgrade. Dashan Plant joined hands with DFMC to integrate the advanced concepts and technologies of Grinding Expert System, aiming at further releasing the production potential and realizing the new mode of "data-led, intelligent milling" through digital means.The successful trail operating of No. 7 ball mill, the intelligent transformation of No. 4 ball mill seems smoother. However, in the face of the two ball mills in the discharge port diameter, discharge speed, mill power and other minor differences, the project team did not take it lightly. They went deep into the front line, worked closely with experienced operators such as miller Zhang Yunwu, and ensured that every parameter could accurately match the actual requires of No. 4 ball mill through accurate data analysis and on-site debugging.
After nearly one year preparation and debugging, on January 2, the Grinding Expert System was officially in operating in No. 4 ball mill. This innovative initiative not only significantly reduces the phenomenon of running rough and improves the grinding efficiency, but also significantly optimizes the TE indicators, reduces the labor intensity of the operators, and achieves the double enhancement of production efficiency and humanistic care. "Now, the operation of No. 4 ball mill is more stable, the index performance is excellent, and our work has become easier and more efficient." The central control workers in the grinding and floating section of the Dashan plant are full of praise for the performance of the Grinding Expert System. It is expected that within this year, Dashan plant will successively connect the rest of the ball mills to the Grinding Expert System, and gradually build up a set of intelligent grinding management system covering the whole plant.
