Escondida Copper Mine, the world's largest operational copper mine, is located in the Atacama Desert of Chile. Jointly operated by BHP (with a 57.5% stake), Rio Tinto and other companies, it achieved a copper output of 1.3049 million tons in Fiscal Year 2025, ranking first in the world in copper production. Addressing the historical pain points of on-site grade analysis at Escondida, DFMC focused on the characteristics of the copper mining industry and customized a copper-mine-specific intelligent sensing solution. Equipped with high anti-interference sensing technology, the core instruments have achieved industry-level breakthroughs in stability, continuous operation capability and analysis accuracy, highly aligning with the intelligent upgrading needs of copper mines. Gaining high recognition from the user, these instruments have provided core data support for the intelligent mineral processing operations of Escondida.
