From August 9 to 10, the National Intelligent Manufacturing and Digital Transformation Promotion Conference for the Nonferrous Metals Industry, hosted by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, was held in Jinchang, Gansu. During the conference, a council meeting of the Digital Transformation Promotion Center for the Nonferrous Metals Industry was also held. As the newly elected Vice President Unit of the center, DFMC introduced its advanced technological achievements in four key areas—intelligent sensing, intelligent equipment, AI large model control, and smart management—providing a full-chain solution for the intelligent transformation of the nonferrous metals industry.

During the conference, three of DFMC ’s latest technological achievements—the Webmine Transparent Geological Assurance Platform, the Dexing Copper Mine Integrated Production Supervision Platform, and the Digital Comprehensive Management and Control Platform for Nonferrous Metal Mines—were selected for inclusion in the 2025 Annual Collection of Typical Cases for Digital Transformation in the Nonferrous Metals Industry, helping to drive the intelligent transformation and upgrading of the industry.

The Digital Transformation Promotion Center for the Nonferrous Metals Industry is an authoritative platform jointly initiated by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, under the guidance of the Raw Materials Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its mission is to advance the digital and intelligent transformation of the industry.

The inclusion of DFMC will strongly promote the deep integration of cutting-edge intelligent technologies in mining, beneficiation, and smelting with the nonferrous metals industry. It will provide key technical support for the industry to explore new pathways for digital and intelligent transformation and achieve high-quality development.

The conference was themed "Intelligent Connectivity in Nonferrous Metals · Digital Transformation for the Future — Building a New Ecosystem for High-Quality Industry Development."

More than 300 participants attended the event, including enterprise representatives from across China’s nonferrous metals industry, experts from universities and research institutions, as well as leaders from industry associations and their affiliated organizations. They gathered to discuss topics such as the digital transformation and development of the nonferrous metals industry, industrial upgrading and transformation, enterprise innovation leadership, and technological advancement. Together, they explored intelligent manufacturing, deliberated on digital transformation, and planned for future development.

Among the many cases presented at the conference that promote the industry’s digital transformation, the achievements of DFMC stood out notably.

 At the conference, Hao Ran, General Manager of DFMC ’s Beijing Branch, delivered a presentation titled "Creating the Future with Intelligence — Building a New Enterprise Paradigm of Safety, Efficiency, and Digital Intelligence," in which he noted that against the backdrop of global mining undergoing accelerated transformation centered on safety, efficiency, and digital intelligence, DFMC has taken it as its mission to drive the intelligent development of the mining industry by building a full-chain intelligent mining technology system, including establishing a solid foundation of production data through precise online detection and analysis technologies, laying the groundwork for unmanned or minimally manned intelligent plants with advanced intelligent equipment, enhancing grinding and beneficiation efficiency through AI large model control technologies, and building intelligent management and control platforms to improve operational efficiency and strengthen enterprise competitiveness, while keeping pace with the forefront of technology, based on DeepSeek, the company has developed the Dongfang Tianqi large model platform and the Dongfang Tiangong intelligent agent, driving a leap forward in intelligent decision-making for enterprises, and DFMC is willing to work with all stakeholders to jointly build an intelligent mining ecosystem and promote high-quality development of the industry.

The Webmine Transparent Geological Assurance Platform innovatively adopts web-based 3D orebody modeling technology to achieve seamless integration between geological modeling, mining planning and design, and production management systems.

The product has been successfully applied at the Shangfanggou Molybdenum Mine of Luoyang Fuchuan Mining. It offers functions such as data import, visualization, and orebody modeling. With these capabilities, it has improved resource data management efficiency by over 80%, broken down "data silos," resolved traditional issues in resource reserve management, achieved unified reporting data, and ensured efficient mine operations.

 The production digital management and control system developed by DFMC for the Dexing Copper Mine represents a domestically leading solution. Built on an industrial internet and big data framework, the platform breaks down data barriers, enables efficient end-to-end data processing, and addresses traditional data challenges in mining operations.

By unlocking the value of data and establishing a comprehensive data application system across all aspects of mine operations, the system leverages technology-driven decision-making to support mine management and strategic planning. It plays a key role in advancing the development of "Digital Jiangxi Copper."
