According to the information from China National Coal Group Corp. Pingshuo Company, on Jan. 3, 2013, the project of GPS vehicle intelligent scheduling management system undertaken by Dandong Dongfang Measurement & Control Technology Co., Ltd. for China National Coal Group Corp. Pingshuo Antaipu Open-pit Mine successfully passed the acceptance check. The system has played an important promotion role for Pingshuo Antaipu to build an efficient and safe mine, stimulate the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, and stably propel the informatization management level of China National Coal Group Corp. to go up to a new step. Its successful application has also set up a new milestone for the technical improvement of GPS vehicle intelligent scheduling management system for open-pit mines in China.
Officially started in June 2011, the project features the first GPS scheduling project for domestic large-scale open-pit mines with an annual output of over 30 million tons. Dongfang Measurement & Control Technology Co., Ltd. has produced over 300 sets of GPS terminals for various kinds of production equipment like vehicles, shovels, drills, etc. for Antaipu Mine. The system is highly digitalized and informationized with a series of high technologies, including vehicle-mounted GPS scheduling terminal, mine GIS, wideband wireless communication technology for mine area, collision avoidance system for mine, high precision positioning and automatic hole arrangement system for drills, equipment fault management system, intelligent scheduling system for mine, etc.. With the extensive application of these information technologies, Antaipu has witnessed the realization of its target of pursuing profit via intelligence, informatization and management, which has laid foundation for building efficient and safe digitalized mine. In comparison with traditional manual scheduling mode, the implementation of this system has greatly improved the production efficiency of Antaipu Mine, reduced production consumption and made the production management reach a higher level simultaneously.
The GPS vehicle intelligent scheduling management system for open-pit mines delivered by Dongfang Measurement & Control Technology Co., Ltd. comprehensively utilizes multiple advanced technologies, including computer technology, communication technology, GPS satellite positioning, automatic control, GIS, optimization and artificial intelligence, etc. to perform real-time monitoring and optimal management of production equipment like electric shovels, trucks, fuelling vehicles, watering cars, bulldozers, drills, etc., emptying points and production field. This system has enhanced mining, loading and transportation efficiency, optimized production, conducted rational ore blending and improved resource utility rate by automatically optimizing the transportation route of electric shovels and trucks, and carrying out intelligent scheduling. The hardware and software configuration and functions of this system are being continuously developed, and its width and depth are expanded continuously. The system has now become a comprehensive system with equipment maintenance management and work status monitoring functions from a single production commanding and scheduling system, consisting of tire pressure monitoring, fuel monitoring, load monitoring, automatic hole arrangement and navigation, etc., thus playing a more and more important role in the production operation and decision-making of mines. The highly automatic process not only improves production efficiency, but also reduces production cost and labor intensity.
